This summer Transurban announced that it has now entered into a Development Framework Agreement with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to study a significant enhancement to the firm’s existing I-95 Express Lanes project in Virginia. And the scope of work for that expansion is much larger than what was previously being considered – according to Transurban the expansion project would be six times larger and increase the capacity of the system by 140 percent.
